I’d been on the hunt for a reliable flashlight for a while, so when I had the chance to test out Olight’s new ArkPro EDC flashlight, I was excited to give it a try. In this review, I’ll share what I like and don’t like about the powerful flashlight.
Olight's ArkPro EDC Flashlight
The Unboxing Experience
When the flashlight arrived, it was wrapped up tight in a small box. It didn’t take long to get it out, and all that packaging kept it safe on its journey to my door. Immediately, I liked the Nebula Violet color I’d selected.
When you first pull the flashlight out the box, there’s a small film over the controls, with instructions on which button does what. I found that little touch very helpful. Instead of just pressing buttons at random or digging into the user’s manual, I could start using the flashlight right away.

Putting it to the Test
Before I could use the flashlight, I had to charge it up. It’s easy to charge with the included charger, but I do wish that it had a replaceable battery option. I often use flashlights during hurricane season, during which I usually lose power at some point. While the rechargeable feature will work out fine, I always feel better knowing that I can replace my battery after it dies, whether or not I have power.
I waited until nightfall to test out this flashlight for the first time in my backyard. I was immediately impressed with its floodlight option, which illuminated most of my yard. When I eventually took it out to the beach at night, its flood light and spotlight option both still seemed powerful, even in a much larger area.
I don’t have too much use for the UV light setting, but it’s easy to access if you need it. Likewise, I think the green laser is pretty neat, but I don’t have much of a reason to use that feature regularly (unless I want to drive my dogs crazy!)
One thing I would have loved to see in this light is a red light feature. When I’m out at night, the power flashlight is useful in many circumstances, but sometimes, I like having the red light feature available to save my night vision.
Finally, I like the sturdy clip on the back on the flashlight. I can clip it almost anywhere on my clothes or purse, making it easy to grab when I need it.
Pros
- Easy to operate.
- Built-in UV light.
- Floodlight is actually powerful.
- Built-in green laser.
- Compact and durable design.
Cons
- Expensive.
- No red light option.

In My Expert Opinion
This is an undeniably powerful flashlight and I’ve already gotten a lot of use out of it. If it had a red light feature built-in, I would say it was 100% perfect, but even without that, it’s an excellent option for strong lighting outside on the go.
