Assembling the Grownsy Bedside Bassinet
One thing I loved right off the bat about the Grownsy bedside bassinet is how easy it was to assemble. You can follow along the included instruction manual that comes in the book, but I found this YouTube instruction video with follow-along step-by-step to be so much easier. There are no tools, bolts, or anything fancy here; all of the pieces snap into each other to make for a super easy-to-follow assembly. The design here is really great; I’ve found other bassinets I’ve put together to include way more steps and have far fewer features. If you’re looking for a simple assembly, this is certainly it.
Once assembled, the 5-in-1 bassinet is nice and sleek — if you’re looking for a bassinet for a lower level in your home, I really like how this one’s neutral look integrates well into a home aesthetic.

Features I Love
Whether you’re looking to buy a bassinet for yourself or as a gift, there’s a lot to love about this bedside sleeper. First and foremost, this bedside sleeper bassinet has an easy zipper that allows the side to open up, so you can access your baby without having to stand up and grab them from the top.
Drop-down side
This is something that I think is a top selling point for many shoppers. While a drop-down side isn’t a necessity, it can be a “nice to have” feature in those early days of parenting. Unlike some other bassinets, I also like that the mesh surrounding the entire bassinet is see-through, so you can see your baby from any angle. As well as the see-through look, the mesh also provides breathability for your baby as they sleep.
Color selection
You can’t go wrong with any of the three colors available for this bassinet (currently, it’s available in beige, gray, or cream). These were designed really well, keeping in mind that people want a bassinet that will look nice in their home (as opposed to looking like an eyesore).
Underneath storage basket
Why waste space? Most space underneath bassinets is wasted, but I love that this bassinet has a thoughtfully-designed storage caddy underneath. If you were thinking of getting a bedside caddy or cart to store essentials, this could replace that, or add additional storage for sleepers, pumping gear, diapers, and more. This is a feature that really sets this bassinet apart from others on the market.
Manual rocking
If you’re looking for a rocking bassinet that auto rocks on its own, the Grownsy bassinet might not be the best choice for you. However, if you’re looking for the occasional rocking capability, this is a great choice. The gentle, manual rocking motion is just enough to help soothe your baby to sleep when needed, without requiring that the bassinet be close to an outlet.

In My Expert Opinion
Of all of the Grownsy products I’ve tried, the 5-in-1 Baby Bassinet Bedside sleeper is by far my favorite. From the seamless assembly to the easy height adjustments, this product is really designed well. The six adjustable height features are a really nice touch to meet any bed height for parents who want easy access to their baby from the side of the sleeper. I can see this bassinet becoming a favorite among many parents and a great baby shower gift. While you can only use this bassinet for a short time (until your baby is around 20 pounds), those first couple of months with your little one really matter.
